The first thing you need to know is that granite is a much harder stone than marble, and granite usually does not etch. (However we are now starting to see that some of the granite that are used today can etch from acidic items being spilled on the surface.)

Granite can be cleaned using the same process as marble. For granite we recommend cleaning the surface using a quality stone safe neutral stone cleaner. If your stone becomes scratched or etched, we can polish and restore your granite counter tops, vanities or floors back to their original condition.

Most households have granite counter top surfaces because it is the hardest of stones, it is the most durable. Most of the time granite can take abuse, but like any natural stone, damage does occur.  Because granite is a natural stone, it is susceptible to staining from oils and grease. Your granite counter tops can dull over time from everyday use. With a re-polish and sealant, the granite can be returned to a glossy and brilliant shine—Just like when it was new!  Remember, always clean your granite with a neutral PH cleaner. Like any stone, it is important that to maintain the integrity of the stone surface by having a sealer application applied every year or every other year.
